All vital signs went flat for two or three minutes. It was at that time I saw and heard the Lord saying, "Get back down there, Margaret. You are not through with what I've given you to do yet." And my heart began to beat again.
The Lord's miracles started March 19th with a 911 call at 2:30am in the middle of heavy flooding rains and violent thunderstorms. After arriving at Baylor Hospital and hours of working on me, the medical consensus was: (1) A serious kidney virus had led to; (2) Compromise of the immune system; (3) Which had aspirated fluids into both lungs; (4) Creating double pneumonia; (5) Leading to a heart attack (stage two of three, i.e., a "moderate" one.) BUT! Your prayers and intercession made the difference. Literally!
Recovery from that moment was and continues to be miraculous. Five days later, I was out of ICU into a regular room. A week after that I was transferred to a rehab center. Two weeks later (April 11th) I was back home at the Mount Zion Ministry House with a visiting R.N., O.T. & P.T. three times a week, regaining strength daily.

A Joyously Loving & Blessed Christmas, Beloved!!!
The months since June have been extremely challenging, yet extremely rewarding. I am convinced that looking at anything with our natural eyes for understanding is a luxury few of us can afford especially during these days of shaking. Seeing with only our spiritual eyes has become a necessity with any exception a rarity - at least it has been for me.
Having now 'graduated' to another rehab center at Heath South, I take their bus two days a week for the increased therapies, which are full and non-stop on those days. Trying to fit those days into an increasingly crowded ministry scheduling of counseling face-to-face, phone and e-mail has become the ongoing challenge of this ministry.
The increase in ministerial counseling has been the direct result of the increased enemy warfare. One of the many signs of our times.
NEVER THE LESS - All through these past months there has been such an excitement in my spirit because of revelations/breakthroughs being birthed and revealed through the Lord's love and His glorious power. Certainly NOT through any wiped out physical flesh in learning to walk again after six long years. All of that has been nothing but slow, tough stuff.
Increasingly, I have watched His overcoming victory being released with/though every severe trial. And every increased pain. And every increase of financial hardship - BE THEY PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, OR FINANCIAL.
Each severe testing has produced another breakthrough on another higher level of victory for His glory. The ways of the Lord truly are past finding out, except by and through His Spirit.
Standing at the kitchen sink for a few minutes a day, I started on my S-L-O-W journey to walking again. Two massive strokes years ago left opposite sides effected leaving the impulses and muscles "cross-wired"; i.e., a strong left leg with a weak right leg, and a strong right arm with a weak left arm). That totally unnatural imbalance has made attempts at finding proper walking balance extremely difficult.
However, the Lord has surrounded me with exceptional and anointed Christian therapists in the marketplace at Health South! Because their dedication is as steadfast as their quick wit and their joy, they are changing the spiritual atmosphere in their professional marketplace. What an example they are for every Christian who want to be used in their own marketplace.
While auto-ambulators have been around of years as part of rehab, their company engineers just came out with this new one which is state of the art. There's a lot of excitement about it. I was recently asked and designated by the Director of Services to be interviewed and filmed on it for ABC news' Dallas-Fort Worth channel.
Briefly, one is fitted into a parachute type of harness, then lifted up and placed onto a walking treadmill. The walking can be adjusted from slowest gait with shortest stride to longest gain with fastest stride.
It also adjusts the amount of your own body weight which is actually walking on the treadmill. The object being to strengthen every portion of the body that is needed for walking.
My natural walk has always been with longest stride and fastest gait. On that setting and 30% to 50% of my own body weight doing the walking on the treadmill, at present I've walked over a mile and a half in thirty minutes!
Then there is the "R-Jo". Have absolutely no idea how that is actually spelled. It looks rather like a four-wheeled walker with a padded top. One stands up and steps into it to start walking.
I basically have started walking on my own with this one except for help needed when my right leg and foot gets mysteriously glued to the floor at times(!). Nevertheless, the last time I walked using the R-Jo, I walked over 30 yards!
ALL OF THIS IS TRULY SUCH A GOD GIVEN MIRACULOUS PROGRESS FROM THE SOVEREIGN HANDS OF OUR LORD!
It has been obtained at a sacrificial price by every single one of you working together with me and this ministry. None of it would be possible without your faithfulness in prayer and your financial support.
Prayerfully consider an increase for ministering to the growing number of leadership who come hurting as well as for therapy to continue (Medicare's dangling sword is always ready to cut regardless of progress).
Bending over the computer is sill not possible for any length of time because of my respiratory system and lungs. Please continue to pray for a computer layout the wheelchair can roll up under so I am able to sit up straight.They are very pricey around $1,500 which is why all through the years I have stayed with ill-fitting computer layouts greatly adding to breathing difficulties and lungs being seriously being compromised.
We are all standing and fighting the good fight of faith to overcome pain, weariness and deficits in some areas of our life. Know that my prayers are with you during the night watches as well as every day. I feel this New Year of 2007 is going to be one of accelerated perfecting by the Lord of that which concerns us.
"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, endure forever — forsake not the works of Your own hands." Ps 138:7-8 AMP
IN THE MEANTIME, REJOICE WITH ME! I'VE GONE FROM DEATH TO LIFE AND HAVE STARTED TO WALK AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SIX YEARS!!!!
