THE GLORIOUS FIRE OF THE GOD OF GLORY
"The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel." Ex 24:17
The last few years there has been a profusion of spiritual insights into where the body of Christ is at present, and where it is going. Christians - laymen and leaders alike - have been focusing in on what they believe is God's revealed plan for these last days.
The myriad exchanges of dialogue in shared perceptions, considerations, and convictions cover the entire spectrum: from small informal get-togethers with friends and family members, to church study groups, to virtually every pulpit around the world. In addition there is growing number of written materials - books, magazine articles, and pamphlets - that are no less varied, divergent and extensive.
Collectively, all of these offerings present a continuing and unfolding spiritual mosaic that portrays an abundance of revealed perceptions for the design and plan that God is unfolding in these last days to prepare His church for glory. Yet in spite of all the ongoing spiritual revelations a complete well-defined picture of what awaits, and why, remains obscure with many pieces still not fitting, or silently missing.
However, the Lord continues to unveil additional pieces of the "Master's mystery puzzle" according to His own sovereign timetable and wisdom, often awaiting further prayer and intercession within that sovereign timetable before divulging another piece of His prophetic puzzle and how it fits.
· In the meantime, God's Word* still stands as the only unerring and irrefutable sentinel to all who would come to the door of revelation and knock.
[* For purposes of this work, "Word" will be capitalized whenever used as signifying the Bible in its entirety, or the Logos of God.]
In the last few years God's light of revelation has shone into areas of His Word that have remained sealed until the present time. Spiritual insights are being received, examined and understood through the Holy Spirit that have previously remained hidden. What has been just as sovereign and apparent is the fact that these spiritual revelations by the Holy Spirit are increasingly and uncomfortably at the expense of the church's previously held - and often currently held - traditions, beliefs, doctrines and ways.
· In this age of increasing deceptions, the plumb line of God's Word must stand as never before as confirmation and verification of how He intends to manifest His glory in this His latter house and temple:
" ‘And I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple [house] with glory,' says the LORD of hosts." Hag 2:7
" ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the LORD of hosts." Hag 2:8
" ‘The glory of this latter temple [house] shall be greater than the former,' says the LORD of hosts' ". Hag 2:9
In a time of prayer the Lord spoke to my heart saying: "Out of the world I called the nations. Out of those nations I have been calling the church. And now out of the church, I am at this hour calling My bride."
"And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!' And let him who hears say, ‘Come!' And let him who thirsts come. Whosoever desires, let him take of the water of life freely."

In these end times, it is no longer an option to hear His voice. It has become essential not only to hear His voice but to also know His ways. Those Christians who are still unwilling to make that ultimate sacrifice of their flesh in an unrelenting submission to God are at risk of becoming too feeble and too weak through such waywardness to follow Him through the growing darkness that increasingly surrounds us.
"Wherefore lift up the hands that hang down, and the feeble knees;" Heb 12:12 KJV
"And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but rather let it be healed." Heb 12:13 KJV
" Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees." Is 35:3
"Say to those who are fearful-hearted, ‘Be strong, do not fear'" . . . Is 35:4
Today, God's Word* and His Holy Spirit are our only sure compass. In times past there was enough spiritual daylight that God could guide us by His pillar of cloud. Throughout those years we had enough light to make out the spiritual terrain and landmarks over which we were called upon to journey. But now, with the enemy's night of darkness growing rapidly around us with each step we take, it is God's pillar of fire that beckons us to follow closely.
The Lord's coming is imminent. Only by consistently seeking and following His pillar of fire will we be able to pursue Him closely enough, and intimately enough to encounter the glory that is in that fiery presence. Beholding Him not only as Lord but also as Friend and Lover. Then His fiery light will not only radiate onto our darkened pathway but will, in turn, be reflected from us and onto a dark dying world.
" Moreover You led them . . . by night with a pillar of fire, to give them light on the road which they should travel." Neh 9:12
" The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." Rom 13:12
Those who are hungry for such a personal revival of God's glory are renewing and intensifying their commitment to prayer and intercession as He rekindles spiritual fires on a higher plane of fervency and urgency. Why? Because hearing His voice and knowing His ways has become more exacting - and profoundly more necessary - than ever before as the gross darkness of the enemy's night continues to escalate (John 9:4, Rom 13:12).
Essentially, every committed Christian is seeking some vital answers to four basic fundamental questions as they endeavor to follow Him through the final hours of this dispensation:
WHAT are the last moves of His Spirit before He comes?
HOW LONG will they last?
And perhaps most important to our spiritual understanding:
WHY?
In this book the Lord will walk us through His prophetic Scriptural answers to these questions - along with some of their innumerable facets - as He consummates the final maturing and perfecting of His bride.
For those who do not hunger and thirst after Scriptural answers to these questions this book may embody too many Scriptures. However, for those who are once more fervently seeking and searching the Word of God for His fundamental, basic and vital answers to these questions, this book will prove key.
And just in case there are Christians who have yet to notice, our God is not-so-quietly taking us all back once again to the very fundamental basics of His gospel. Through the years we have been searching for more of Jesus in an almost endless array of teaching precepts and methods. In the process we have obscured, and at times severely disfigured or lost His simple ways and truths so vital to our walk.
